India Space Week

India Space Week is a national annual event celebrated every year from 12th to 18th August to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram A. Sarabhai, the father of the Indian Space Programme and the founder of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The event aims to cultivate scientific curiosity, innovation, and awareness of space technology among school and college students through competitions, expert lectures, hands-on activities, workshops, and educational outreach programs. India Space Week is an autonomous educational initiative dedicated to promoting space science, technology, and innovation among students across India. The organization works with the support and cooperation of the Government of India and various State Governments to inspire young minds and encourage their participation in the field of space science through educational programs, workshops, competitions, and outreach activities.
